Paola Boito

Paola Boito is an associate professor of mathematics at the University of Pisa. She received her Ph.D. from Scuola Normale Superiore in 2007. Prior to joining the University of Pisa, she was a postdoctoral fellow first at Université Paul Sabatier in Toulouse and later at Emory University in Atlanta, and held a position of maître de conférences at Université de Limoges from 2010 to 2017. Her research focuses on numerical linear algebra and particularly on the role of matrix structure in the design of efficient algorithms. More recently, she developed an interest for applications of structured numerical methods in quantum computing.
